time is ticking

here we are with a mere month and a half before we put-in in Maine. It’s hard to believe that. We have almost all of our gear purchased except for some odds and ends… and a little thing called a boat for bethany. We are looking at three possibilities but we need ti make a decision so that the lady can be delivered before September rolls around.

In case you didn’t know, Dan and I are summer camp counselors for the City’s Adventure Camp. We take teenagers out each week on a different adventure activity like rafting, backpacking, biking, kayaking, etc. This past week we went Sailing with the campers. We chartered with the Oriental School of Sailing and the captains, Chris and Jimmy Nixon were incredibly seasoned and amiable sailors with welcoming arms and great stories. We learned so much and made some connections that we might need later on this trip.

Otherwise, I’m thinking about all the packing we have to do soon and realizing that a yard sale might really serve us well. That our just a trip to the thrift store. That way we wont have as much stuff to pack. Good idea eh?

in other notable news… dan just bought me a Nikon D80 so amazing photos will be taken this trip. You can count on it, (if i can ever figure it out).

Hey there! I like the updates to your blog! Thanks for commenting on ours. As needy as it sounds, it is nice when you know people are reading it. Hope the trip planning is going well. And I’m sorry you can’t get a puppy yet….one day though.
