We are still here. We were planning on leaving today to paddle onward but the winds were SW 10-15 knots gusting to 20 knots. If you enjoy checking the weather forecast, when you see that, it means we will be struggling on the water. We didnt want to struggle today to we will wait until tomorrow when the forecast is much improved. Over the past 5 days, we have rested. Really rested. Thanks to Papa and Grannies generous gift of a stay in a hotel for a week, we have been able to kick back and really relax. Its been fabulous. I have iced and heats and rested my back completely and feel a whole lot better. I think perhaps I am healed. Keep your fingers crossed.

Dan did get to go surfing twice. Those prayers must have paid off.

More specific events of the past five days included going to see Angels and Demons at the movies, having a 6-day late b-day dinner for Dan at the Olive Garden, a cook-out at Sam and Carl’s house, a surfing cook-out with the Osprey people again… and let me tell you… it’s still wicked cold here at night if its windy.

We cant wait to paddle tomorrow.
