eve of an epic

I cant believe it’s finally here.

Dan and I have been waiting for this day for a long time, braving fierce cold and snow all winter, living far far away from anyone we know, working awful jobs and huddling in our apartment wishing for spring. Maine was surprising to us. We met and became close to many many people and they hole a very special place in our hearts. Thank you Missio Dei for being our family here in Maine.

Last night we decided to wait it out another day because the forecast was calling for big old waves and mean old wind. Im really glad we did. We had SO MUCH to do that we didnt know we had. Now we are all set to go and as ready as we will ever be.

Here’s to the rest of the paddle. May we learn to take each moment at a time and not think towards the future the entire time. May we fall more in love. May we meet mant wonderful and loving people. May we inspire other to “make it happen.” May we never think that this is not worth it. May we grow closer to God. May we never forget that this is a blessing.

Thank you to everyone so far and to everyone to come.
Over and out!
