So after paddling a long ways… from Lubec to Bar Harbor we found some internet (we have probably paddled well over 100 miles). Needless to say we have already had a bunch of crazy experiences. First day – Seals everywhere and making nearly 7 mph in our kayaks out of the Fundy area. Second day crazy water as we came into cross island. 3rd making a hard crossing to Starboard cove where we slept in Betty and Tobys back yard. Thanks for the food! 4th, crazy paddle to Jonesport before hannah – fog and big seas outside of Rouge Island. Thanks Barbara and Osmound for the encouragement on Beals Island. Days 5-8 – Just long days on a BARREN stretch of coast. Thanks Dave for the help here in Bar Harbor and for the Boat Storage! So the trip so far? Hard but also really fun. So yea my next trip will be somewhere tropical 🙂

Maybe a longer post tomorrow? We have been in the boats about 8 hours today and the room is still rocking back and forth like i am on the ocean… So I am out!

P.S. Oh and while weather bound on Stevens Island we found a DEAD WHALE. So we called the NOAA (dont know why she worked for NOAA) whale watcher people. Crazy. It was LARGE. No Puffins. I am still on the lookout.
